i m arun i am 13 yrs and i study in 7th grade.recently my mother took me to an astrolger,instantly she(the astrologer)
spotted that my ears were not pierced.she told that it is a must.i have an elder sister,archana and according to my
caste rules the elder sister has to perform the ceremony.my sis told that since i was going to look a bit feminine with earrings
hanging from my lobes,it is better by completing the look and look fully like a girl,ie wearing other jewels like bangles,
wearing feminine dress and having long hair.though i was a bit reluctant,i agreed and my sister promised me that she ll join me
in a all girls school.i have some doubts:-

1)i am planning to have mid length hair,what sort of hairstyle will suit me.personally i like a bob cut or pony tail with fringe that is some hairstyle that is very girlish.

2)what sort of earring should i wear? my sis told no studs.i like a bangle type earring is it ok to wear that or
should be traditional jhumkas and ear drops?

3)for how much time should i wear earrings?

4)what sort of dress should(must be feminine) i wear?

where is part 2?? we are all waiting... aditi replied. haha anirudha you have got some silly doubts which make no sense at all.ofcourse a person who goes all the way to completely feminize her little brother would also potty train him in how girls use the bathroom.the various purpose of the boy being girlish is to make him more girly etc,so your doubts are invalid and foolish! akshara replied. dear anirudha
ya the boy on whom the ceremony is performed has to be without any clothes ie nude,though some ceremonies(like upanayanam) might allow the boy to be in a loincloth.there are lot of reasons for this emphasis on the boy being naked.

during the headshave,as a lot of hair falls,it would make the clothes unwearable and there would be no washing facility.also the hair which falls is considered to be unholy and hence if the boy is naked ,the fallen hair can be washed off his body when he is given a bath after the ceremony.another reason is that tonsure takes place in the open and due to the heat,the boy will definitely be comfortable without clothes.so these are the reasons for boys being tonsured without clothes

for the ear piercing,the boy is expected to be in a ' pure' state ie,physically pure in the natural state,which is being naked.it also promotes mental purity and being one with the nature.it also marks the transition of the boy into a more feminine state,and as narayan said the boy is usually adorned with other ornaments as well to complete the transition akshara replied. dear swetha(arun)
the ceremony performed on you,ie mottai and kadu kuthal is very common and it is usually accompanied with feminisation of the boy on whom the ceremony is performed.usually the boy is made to grow long hair for approximately a year or so and wear feminine clothing for that period.then during the ceremony his head is shorn,ears pierced and he is made to wear earrings.the type of earrings,duration of wearing them is flexible.the second type of feminisation occurs after the ceremony where the boy who is tonsured and is made to earrings is made to grow long hair,wear other jewelleries like bangles,anklets and dress in girlish clothes.also this type of feminisation is rarer and the duration is much more longer.my relatives practise this form the ceremony,and my nephew,had to undergo it.the ceremony was performed on him when he was six and right after the ceremony his feminisation started.he was made to grow long hair,wear only girls clothes and jewels.3 years later and he is totally feminine!his name is nisha and he believes that he really is a girl,and he also looks like a girl only,even in school he is admitted as a girl.his mother is planning to keep him this till he is atleast 13 or 14.so that means he will be feminine for 7 years.thats really a long time but nisha is very very comfortable in his new form ,so comfortable he does not want to be a boy again.so i hope you also will enjoy your experience and understand the true purpose of your feminisation or for that matter ,feminisation of any boy is to make him respect females and feminine character. saiprasuna replied. i am planning the same to my brother too but only in his summer holidays.

for your information i also in the same situation till now from my age of 13...
i got my ears pierced at the age of 13 and nose to be pierced in 15....till now i wear long gold jhumkha earring with diamond stones and hoop nose ring....even to my college also i wear the same earring...and for my each birthday i got a newer earring from my sister....i have all type of earrings..studs, chandelier,hoop, dangling earring , heavy weight and light weight....also i used to wear chudi at home and salwar to colleges....and last year only i got my second ear to be pierced with medium sized jhumkha gold earring...they both look good.... sanjana replied. dear arun

sorry couldnt reply,i have to use my sisters laptop only,and she doesnt give it to me very often.i ll describe the experiences in parts as i dont have much time now.let me with start with my hair,after the decision to perform the ceremony,i was not allowed to go get a haircut,steadily my hair grew and after 2 months my mom oiled my hair,parted it right at the center and made it into two plaits.i was shocked when i looked at the mirror,i looked totally different.after some more months my double plait became a single plait,and my mom oiled it everyday.i could not let my hair open as it was not as straight and silky as my sisters.now also i have single plaited hair,center parted,though i like side part,my mom forces me to have a center part.around 2 months ago my sis and my mom took me shopping for jewellery.we went to a place near my house.first the earring was chosen.i wanted only a simple earring,but my sis chose a large ' kundan earring' ,it looked very good but it was very heavy and i was very afraid of the prospect of it hanging fom my ear lobes!finally the gimmiki was chosen by archana(my sis),it was so long that it almost reached my shoulder then we bought a second set of earrings for me ,it was just a simple ring.then other items like bangles,anklets a necklace and even a nethi chutti(ornament worn on the
head) and ofcourse a nose ring(the type worn at the center of the nose) were purchased.the next round of shopping was for my dresses,which were to only female dresses.by this point i realized opposition to this was futile and decided to assist archana in doing the ceremony.the very next day mom archana and me went to a famous clothshop,to buy new dresses which consisted mostly of silk skirts and tops and a couple of half sarees.the next big event was my sister taking me to the beauty parlour
where i had my hands and legs waxed,though it did pain a bit,it left my arms and legs smooth and my hair was conditioned and shampooed.just one more week for my ceremony. narayan replied. its good to know that u' ve adjusted to ur new life & clothings (skirts =)) all of us support ur boldness & courage to uphold our tradition swetha... hopefully u could share all ur experiences with us as soon as possible swetha as we r very eager to know wat our little girl -) has & is going through...

p.s: wear the pavadai thavani, sarees, bangles, anklets & other jewelries wit ur earrings & nose rings as often as u can bcoz u only get to live this for 3 years... =) sanjana replied. dear swetha
skirts are more comfortable,especially for boys.it gives you more freedom and airiness,so enjoy wearing your skirts.but there are,some things you have to be careful.the wind is a pervert,when there is wind your skirt balloons up and everyone can see your,privates.since you are a boy and your genitals hang outside,even if your skirts lift a little ,everyone can see it and girls especially are very curious.also wearing short skirts again will expose your genitals.probably you can wear undergarments but they restrict movement.

sorry for the delay.after a long long time,my sister allowed me to use the computer.my ceremony went well,though it pained it a lot.the experience as a girl is not bad at all.my mom has decided to call me swetha from now.i ll describe my
experiences in the next post narayan replied. the feminizing ur talkin abt is an age old tradition.. it is done not to make him feminine, but for him to respect wat it means to be a woman & the traditional duties of a woman... it will make him more of a man wen the process is over... narayan replied. it makes sense about the pain tolerance test & ur rite, it will make him look more feminine...so it' sup to the piercer on where to pierce.. thx anjana.. it' s a big help...

if ur sister has not suggested it, maybe u can suggest to ur sister for a septum piercing.. it will make u more feminine & wats more, i read that it can help one conquer their anger... =)
