Miscarriage and Child Loss:Fear of getting pregnant again
2003-10-11
Name: Mother

Six Months ago I had to make a decision to get my 6 month pregnancy terminated as the baby was not forming properly. I already have a 3 year old son but I am scared that this could happen again should we try for another baby.

My rational mind is telling me that as this was a one of those pregnancies that could be categorized as a \";statitic\"; but fear rears its ugly head every time I think about my loss.

No one is putting any pressure for another baby, but I have to get over my fear. Any suggestions?

Hey Mother,
I understand your fear since i have recently gone through a miscarriage myself , but let me tell you that your fear is absolutely baseless and only psychological.
You have already had a normal pregnancy earlier and that itself proves that this was just one of the rear cases . Didn't the doctor tell you that ? At the most they will monitor your next pregnancy closely and give you the required medications to see that this incident does not re-occur .
Be positive and trust god ...you will definitely have a healthy baby in your next pregnancy.

So praying for you and wishing you loads of baby dust.
Take Care

But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]

RE:Three miscarriages in a year...
Hey Richa, hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about it.I know what you have gone through. Toughest period is when one is TTC.The worst part is the miscarriages and 3 of them makes it even more hard to cope with. I agree with your husband and would advice you to take a break also. Try to regain your health.Rushing into things wont solve them. Consult a specialist a... - katherine [View Message]
