Normal Delivery:Doubts regarding delivery

Hi all,

I am 29 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy, I am so much excited, somewhat worried and also having so much doubts regarding labour and delivery.

I will like to know the experiences of labour and delivery from second time moms and I hope you will also clear my doubts. I am in India so experiences from indian friends will help me a lot as the procedure of all the indian hospitals are almost same about delivery, I think so :)

My doubts -

Procedure of delivery? (your experiences)

Who is with us in labour room? (are they allow husband?)

Are they give us baby immidietly after birth for feeding? or wait to deliver the plecenta?

Are we need to shave pubic hair before going to hospital?

Approx how much time it take to deliver the baby first time?

When they shift us to the room?

What are the tests and medications for the newborn in first few days?

After delivery care for mother and newborn?

Thanks a lot for reading my message, I hope you will help me with my doubts.

HI,
PREGNANCY AND DELIVERY ARE THE WONDERFUL THINGS IN A WOMEN' S LIFE. YOU MUST ENJOY AND HAVE A POSITIVE LOOKOUT.
I HAD A NORMAL DELIVERY.I WAS INDUCED AND THEN GIVEN EPIDURAL IN ACTIVE PHASE. IT WAS ALMOST PAINLESS DELIVERY.
CORPORATE HOSPITALS ALLOWS HUSBAND DURING DELIVERY AFTER COUNSELLING. MY HUBBY WAS WITH ME ALL THE TIME.
IF EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT THEN THEY GIVE BABY TO YOU AFTER CLEANING YOU UP.ALL CLEANING UP LIKE PUBIC HAIR IS DONE AT THE HOSPITAL ONLY.
DURING FIRST DELIVERY DURATION CANNOT BE TOLD . I WENT TO HOSPITAL AT 8 AM AND I HAD MY BABY BY 1:30PM. AFTER CLEANING ME ,WE WERE SHIFTED TO OUR ROOM.
OVERALL EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTHLY AND AT THE END OF THE DAY WE WERE ALL HAPPY.
ALL THE BEST. DONT WORRY TOO MUCH.

Dear All,

I'm Dr. Meghna Bharath. I'm a strong proponent of Natural Birthing.

In the run-up to becoming a Mom myself, I prepared for Natural birth and delivered naturally. Recently I encouraged and supported my younger sister and close friends deliver naturally as well [through remote advice, since we were across a 10-hour timezone :)].
