Hello Ravs...

Well first of all I beleive ur sister has already given birth to her baby by now. So do congratulate her!!
As for foods.. eat everything, except spicy foods. She must drink lots of water since she is breastfeeding, which is composed of about 70% water. She needs to drink water after every feed. No cold drinks, or alcohol, and of course no smoking. However, though her 40 days would be over by now, its a very wrong idea that we have in india that the mother should not go out of the house for 40 days. Rather, she as well as the baby needs sunlight, as sunlight produces Vitamin D, and a lack of which develops in rickets, and weakness of muscles, rather than muscles becoming weak when one stays inside the home.. You can check the internet... you' ll get a lot of information on this.. check on google.. Most importantly, help her to understnad that motherhood is hard work but a very fruitful one!! Well all the best!!
