How are you? Hope Sahana and Shalika are doing good.

You must be having a good time with both the kids now. Has Suhana started giving responses ..smiling etc...I am sure it must be so nice to hold the baby again. I am so looking forward to it now. So when are you going back to work?

Have you started feeding formula to Sahana yet? If not then do you express breast milk so as get her in the habit of having milk from the bottle? I am asking you all this because this time I want to breastfeed baby for longer time . I am planning to not to give formula for first few months but then I think that the baby should also have the habit of having bottle. Now if I use breast pump for this, that might reduce my milk production.
Such a dilemma!!

Hope you are feeling good now. I am enjoying both my kids now staying home. I will be starting to work from 14th May. It is nice to see both kids developing love for each other. Sahana responds by smiling, cooing, if we talk to her she baby talks back. A baby brings in so much love in life... its so nice.

I started expressing bm right from her birth, to store up and to feed by bottle. I introduced bottle with bm when she turned 1 month for her doc appts, or to take a uninterrupted nap, etc. Till 1 month don' t give bottle, feed with spoon if needed. They get confused with bottle before 1 month since they don' t master bf. It will avoid poor latching n prevent sore nipples for u. I did all these mistakes since I forgot the prior experience! I am glad I could tell it to you so u can benefit.

Pumping won' t reduce milk production. Try pumping midway from bfeeds or when baby doesn' t drink up all your milk. Initially they don' t drink a lot so u get some to freeze. I use philips avent single manual one, it is really good I feel it helps to regulate bm sometimes pumps it up.
