Hi Archie ,
This is Swati ...I spoke to you in Waiting to try section yesterday.
My Pregnancy test came positive... :-)
I am happy as well as scared too ...since this is my first pregnancy. Please help with answers to following :

Dos and donts in early pregnancy ?
I stay on 2nd floor (without a lift) , is that safe ?
I travel on a bike and sit cross legged. Is that ok ?
Till when can we continue intercourse ?
What can be done to relieve nausea ?
My blood pressure was high in my first visit to doc (140,90). What shd i do ?
What eatables are suggested and what shd be avoided ?
My job requires me to sit for 8 hrs. Is that fine ?
Any suggestions regarding excercise , to maintain good health and normal baby ?
How do i calculate my due date ? My fisrt missed period was on 19th November. Is that 19 Nov + 9 months ?
Can I take tetra packs of juices ?

Thanks a lot in advance. Pls pls pls reply soon.

i m also pregnant and this is my first experience too. wht i learnt from my elders and the NET , i will tell yu..
yu stay on 2nd floor tht is not a problem at all.. just be carefull when climbing stairs, keep yur feet a little low and be relaxed
i learnt tht travel on bike and rikshaw shuld be avoided, but if yu have only this way of commuting then yu shuld ask yur doctor.
i also consulted my doctor just yesterday abt the sex during pregnancy, she said tht yu can do once in a week , but my husband is not doing as he is very much worried abt my health(touch wood)
try to control yur BP, try not to over think, and be happy, avoid salt and consult yur doctor.
you shuld eat all vegetables, chicken and mutton, drink alot of water, drink milk and eat egg. dnt ignore yurself whn yu feel tht yu are hungary, always keep some biscuits with yu.avoid smoking if yu are a smoker and colas and alcohol and coffee.
i m also working for 8 hours.. it is advisable to get up from yur seat and walk for few minutes, or if yu have any spare room in yur office then just lie there for few minutes, dnt be in a same position for long, it will be tiring for yu. use back care cushion and a relaxed and comfortable chair , if possible also use foot rest.
the answer for your question about exercise is that do normal which yu were doing before pregnancy, start walking with yur husband. but please dnt start any new excercise which yu never did before. i read somewhere that dnt do excercise in which yur thigh gt up thn yur stomach, the vottom line is that try to keep yur stomach from any physical stress.
for yur due date i must say that i m writing in august 2006 and i m sure that either yu are in hospital or with yur baby.
pack juices are not advisable
regards
ST
