hi all,
i'm married for the past 2 years.now we are planning to conceive.the worry is i have a stammering problem.ihad it very severely in my childhood.so i suffered a lot because of this problem.i had to go through a lot of embarrasement & fear because of it.my father also had this problem.so i inherited this from my dad.now since i'm planning for a child,i'm really tensed abt this.i dont want my child to inherit this trait from me or my dad.i cant bear my child to suffer like me.i had avery low self connfidence bcoz of it.so can anyone plz tell me are there chances that my baby will inherit this trait from me.if so is there any methods to prevent this before conception or during pregnancy? ur help will be really appreciated.i'm very desperate.plz guidde me wid ur suggestions.thank u all in advance verne replied. but i will help you anyways. First of all, stammering is NOT a genetic problem, you got it from your dad, because you listened to it as a child. Your baby wont get it from you because its hereditary, but WILL get it from you if he/she hears you stammering all the time. Children are extremely intelligent, and during childhood, they learn the maximum things. IF you want a good non stammerning future for your child, cure yourself first, and hope that you dont stammer in front of it.
Secondly, stammering is not a sin, get over your low esteem and get cured if you care enough to boost your esteem. Universal law for happiness, if something is bothering you, get rid of it, by curing it, or by learning it. You dont have to suffer just for the sake of it.
Thirdly, take care of your nutrition during pregnancy, because stammering wont be tranferred to your child, but other things could. Best of luck, and i wish you well.
