could some 1 tell me why do we get dark underarms dark kness and elbows and other dark patches every were is it due to dryness or is it due to build up of dirt and how do u avoid getting it in the first place and what do u use if you have it and if you get rid of it how do u stop it from coming back saniya replied. dear rupali,
1)the reason y our under arms,e;bows and knees r dark r:
*friction.
*usage of depilatory creams/shaving
*ignoring those parts while bathing.
*usage of deodrants/sprays.

2)to avoid getting them dark,wear lose cotton clothes,avoid deodrants/sprays,wash them properly during bathing.i recommend using st.ives exfoliating body wash..it might help in removing the dead dark cells.do not shave or use hair removing creams.instead,wax ur underarms.there is no harm in waxing because it lightens ur skin and if followed by a moisturiser,it won't damage ur skin.plus,if u wax once,hair will re-appear after a long time unlike shaving/using hair removal creams.so,u won't be waxing frequently.waxing remvoes hair from the roots and also lifts dead cells so it's the best method for hair removal from the body.scrubbing ur elbows and knees once in 15 days and moisturise them daily especially after scrubbing.

3)to get rid of these probs,just stop all those things which cause the darkness and start doing those which prevent them.

saniya xoxoxox verne replied. are not dark because they are shaved off, thats only part of the reason, the real reason is friction, and bad deodrants. Try switching deodrants. Never try waxing underarms or bleacing them, its sensitive skin, it might cause allergies, or plain pain. That might aggravate the skin and cause more darkness. The same is for other dark patches, get the dead skin loosened by moisturising and brush it off with body brushes or loofah or pumice stone gently during bathing, or you could use de-keratanizing agent and skin lightening creams in the market. you could also go for chemical peels on non-thickened darkened skin. bindu replied. If you shave your underams that is a reason why they are dark..i think the hair roots are showing or something like that. i read it on google awhile ago and i dont remember sorry. but you can WAX your underarms or bleach them.
Knees and elbows make sure they are properly moisturized and the dead skin is gone..use a washcloth while bathing on your whole body and this will be a progress. i always use lemon for bleaching..but i dont know what you will want to do. Lemon is a proven bleaching agent.
