Hi this is subbasri married 10 months back. Actually my hubby and in law forcing me to out mottai. Seems they have vow, if we construct new house everyone from family will put mottai. Last month my hubby bought new house. Now everyone started speaking about mottai. They want to finish mottai before this month. I have very long hair, i am totally confused about mottai. Can someone give courage for my mottai? Girish K. replied. Dear Sister, how old are you? dont worry about mottai. Since, its a vow taken by your in-laws, please try to adhered to it. Are you working women in metros or a house wife? it does not matter, move around without covering your gundu head with scarf or cap etc.

I see so many ladies in Mumbai having complete head shave and travelling in a train, bus without covering their head.

I myself, a male, keeping the complete head shave with small notch at the centre of the head called shikha and small portion of hair around it known as ghera. People around in he society look at me, does not matter.

Hope, by this time you might have gone with your mottai, since, it was to done by the end of May. Has your hubby , mil, fil, sil, bil, bhabhi etc. all have done the gundu or not.

If still you have not gone for mottai, then I suggest, that you insist that everybody from your family, those who are to stay/share the ew house shall go for mottai alongwith you. Let they first get the gundu and lastly you do the mottai.

I am priya iam 27yrs old, im also in a same situation, few years back, first my husband only takes the vow to put mottai, once he got promotion, at that i just hesitate to put mottai, after i shaves my head, i feel good, after that i take vows to put mottai, for constructing new house, for Second baby, for business purpose,. Hi subbasri it is very painful to read your message my parents forced me to have my head tonsured on 18th of this months i m from kolkata and there i have not seen any girls with bald head being tamil by caste i have to offer my hair. now i m messaging u from tirupati only and tommorow i will have to go to the temple and had to have a headshave and by 25th we have to boarded to kolkata and there with bald head i have to attend college witth bald head
