My baby is 3 1/2 months old.My problem with her is : she always wanted to be in my lap, always wanted to get held.If i make her sit in swing or crib she cries badly.That way i'm not able to do household work neither i'm sometimes able to take bath. I've seen babies who quietly sits in their playyard and also sleep of their own.
I dont know what to do.

even i had the same problem so my friend suggested me to swaddle him... ie roll him titly and make him sleep buy patting him or singing for him..... then u' ll find time for other thing and even he' ll try to forget mother' s lap........

usually they be scared so they want u to hold them always..... if u swaddle then they feel as though they r in mother womb...... ruchika replied. hi niti,
i canunderstand but u shud start leaving himfor a while if he is crying then give him some toys or play some music be in front of him it is separation anxity he scares to be alone BUT if u keep taking him always in ur lap then that wud be habitual and abhi to its starting

so be ltl hard mom u cant keep sitting with him all the time

i remember my days i used to take ananya in baby carrier and used to work and then she used to sleep in that or u can put him in the stroller stay in front of him and do ur work.
AB replied. don't compare your baby with others baby.all babies are different.
some babies like to be with their mothers. my son was like that. second one plays on her own without me.
she might be afraid of the swing or crib so she is crying.
when she sleeps make her sleep in the crib or swing. when she wakes up she will see herself in crib or swing. at that time rock her. she may like the rocking.
this worked for my first one and atleast he used to let me do my office work. i work from home, so it was difficult to hold him all the time and work.
