I had my GTT test done on saturday and the results shows traces of urine in the 1st hour sample and Present + in the second hr sample.

The blood values are within range.
Fasting - 75 1st hr - 130 and 2nd hr - 90.

My doc reviewed the report and said everything was ok. I did not meet her. She said its fine and I can meet her for the next appointment on the 20th.

I am concerned if I am tending towards GDM again.. Pls let me know if any of you have an idea on what this indicates.

Hi Aprana

Not very sure how to stop using the Nipple shield and get Rohit used to feeding directly as I have not used it before.. But I have read, that the best way is to keep trying to feed him directly and he will eventually latch on.. sorry could not be of much help... but hope he latches on soon...

HRU doing?Am doing gud.So is Rohit.Hey now I have stopped using the shield and now for the past 4 days hez drinking directly.I was very much worried abt it,but now much relieved.

Thank you very much Diya, Bharti and Aparna for the reassuring responses.

Like Aparna, I developed GD in the 8th month with my son and so was worried if I would get it this time. Like you girls said, I would test every month and avoid unnecessary sugars...Feeling a lot relieved now..

Hope Diya and Bharti are doing good and praying for you and your big day...

Aparna, Hope your incission has healed well and Rohit is doing well and has adjusted to nursing...

Hi Subha,

How r u doing?Rohit and myself are doing gud.My incission has healed well and now am pretty comfortable.started with normal activities.Dr told that after a week or so I can start doing exercises.
I am facing problems in feeding Rohit..Hez drinking milk through the shield.Finding it difficult to feed him directly.He starts crying and rubs his nails against the face if i try to feed him directly.Any idea how 2 stop this and start feeding directly?

hey dear now s if u got the idea form diya n aparna tht its normal n u dnt had to b tensed for this so b happy n stop worrying but to b on safer side do this month till ur due date s said by aparna. so wht else hows baby doing n thx for the wishes yaar now mine condition is becomming worst i want the labour pain soon just pray for us take care

Hi Subha,

Your sugar levels are perfectly normal.
Fasting levels are usually 75 and after one hr levels can go upto 140. But the important point is that after 2 hrs level should come down to 100 or less which is fine in ur case.
Now I have good amt of personal experience in GCT and GTT :)
So dont worry and enjoy ur pregnancy.Just to be on safer side resuce the intake of unnecessary sugars such as sweets etc. Sugar content in fruits amd some vegetables is not a problem.

Hi Subha,

Hope ur doing gud.Ur sugar levels are normal.For Fasting the range is between 70-110 and random it can go upto 140.U need not worry about this now.But do check ur sugar levels once in a month till the due date.I got gestational diabetes in my 8th mth.Till the 8th mth everything was normal including GTT.
