I just found out that Indians use tumeric on babies to ensure a lifetime of hairless arms. First, is this true and secondly , how does this work. Does the curcumin in tumeric destroy the hair follicles?

Hi Lin, my name is Riya and i just wanted to take the time to answer your question regarding hair removal. First of all this is true many indians do use tumeric on their babies as this prevents the growth of hair..but again this must be done from a very young age as the hair on babies is very thin and not visible at all...but if you are looking for a remedy to remove hair...then use the following no more then 3-4 times weekly..good luck

1.Make a sandalwood paste with rose water and apply on the scars. Keep it overnight and wash it with cold water the next day. If you find that your skin becomes dry in the morning, you leave it only for a few hours on your face or you may try adding some milk while making paste.
