First of all congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the board.

If this your first pregnancy you are likely to feel movements by 22nd week, though the baby is active and moving right from 8th week onwards you will know the taps and flutters around 22nd week. You can further clarily your worries by talking to your OBGYN.

Movements can be felt little latersay by 24th week for obese woman also it depends on the position of the placenta and your baby.

There is nothing to be alarmed about, you will soon post here saying you are feeling your little one.I myself felt the movements around 22nd week and bugged my doc and dh for weeks !Finally they were compelled to give me a U/S, if it helps talk to your doctor about ultra sound.

Good luck and belly rubs !

Hello Kavita,

The first quickening of life can occur anywhere between the 14th and 26th weeks. If this is your first baby you may not recognize movement earlier. You might have heard fetal heartbeat and if fetal heartbeat is strong everything else is fine with the baby.

I am in my 18th week and i have been feeling the baby's movement since the 12th week. But its somewhat like bubble bursting for me. So you may not recognizing the kicking. What is your EDD (estimated or expected due date)?

Take care!

Dear Kavita

Welcome on board! I can only say don't worry so much about the baby movement. Normally, during 1st pregenancy one cannot understand when is baby moving! Speak to your gyne. also about it and I hope things will be fine
