My son is just 2yrs old he is suffering from cough and cold for last 7 days. We have consulted doctor. According to his advice we gave medicines as he prescribed. He totally stopped taking meals including milk. The cough is so severe that after we give meals solid or liquid he immediately vomit it with cough and breathing problem. During that period some guests was there in my house so I am not able to give much attention to him even his father did not give much attention like playing with him or take him out side. The guest just yeaterday.Now we can give him regular attention.The new problem is that form yesterday onwards after he enters in bedroom he starts crying continuously and becomes violent without knowing anything.The crying was so severe we have to consulted with doc at 11.00 P.M.As soon as we starts for doctor he stops crying and becomes normal.After basic check up doc has said that the child has no physical problem and ask me about the changes and place of visit during last four five days. I have explained all to the doc. Doc has advice me that the child if facing insecure and need more attention from parents and give Phenedol and advice to give him 5ml 3 time daily. When we return home we was sleeping normally. At around 2.30 A.M. he again started crying then we give him the medicine and he was sleeping well up to 10 A.M. morning. But at around 12.30 P.M. he again started crying like last night I gave him the medicine. Now he is sleeping.Please advice me what to do now . I am very afraid. As soon as he wake up me may start crying.

my son is 2yrs old ,n suffered with sever cough n cold .milk has greater contents of fat so try to mix water with milk , or give him soya milk whenever he has cough . as it is also great source of nutrient and also child will not vomit if he drinks . secondly ur child is sick so play with him give him more of cuddles n make him happy also see to it that in the day time u r upsetting him , or he is not crying . also early in the morning make sure that u brush his teeeth n make him to goggle with water+pinch of salt n termeric in it . also give him boiled water add ginger to it n black pepper . also feed him with chicken ,as this is very good during cold n cough . my son recovered very soon . hpe this will help u . Minka replied. My son is 1.5 years old and he's also got osme of these symptoms although not quite so severe as crying uncontrollably but he does cough and vomit . What is this phenedol ? Is it a cough syrup ?
