Our son, Amrit was born this Friday, February 8th, a week before his due date.

The doc found elevated protein levels and high blood pressure on my 39th week check up and sent me for induction immediately on the 7th afternoon. Was given medicines to dilate the cervix on the 7th evening and contractions began by 3:00 in the morning. Was given Pitocin to enhance the labour and I laboured through out the day on 8th (and sadly it was back-labour as the baby was in the posterior position) however even 28 hours later I was just 2.5 cm dilated. They tried to move things by rupturing the water bag but the baby was still so high that they could not even reach the bag. Finally Amrit was delivered at 9:30 pm through a C-section.

Though still in pain, teriibly sleep deprived and highly hormonal I couldn' t be happier or more thankful for the little miracle.

Take care Devi replied. Hey Dreamy Mommy, Congrats and I hope both you and your son is doing fine. Like you, I delivered my baby through C-Section and as this is my first time I am finding it very difficult both physically and mentally to balance. But i hope everything turns out to be fine.

I understand it was little difficult to undergo both the processes (of normal and c-sec). But I am sure its worth the pain.
