Milestones:Question to all moms!!!

Let me get straight to the point here...
I went to a bday party last week and met a women who had two sons age 4 and 13. She was very sweet and as we were casually talking she told me that his youngest son was affected by MMR vaccine. He was developing normally as any other child untill 18 months after this vaccine, his behaviour changed dramatically and started behaving like a 6 month old. She talked to the doctor, who did not agree with her intially and then told that the vaccine could have been the cause! He is now improving with spl. classes and other training.

I was shocked since then and have lost trust in vaccines. ofcourse this is not the case with all the babies. it is rare but it is true!
Then I read online in the google about \";Vaccines and Autism\"; and read horrifying tales.

NOW I AM WORRIED ABOUT THE VACCINES THAT I HAVE GIVEN HER FROM MONTH 2 TO MONTH 6 AND AM NOT SURE TO VACCINATE HER HENCEFORTH.

but they talk mostly about MMR and DTP as the culprit.

By God's grace my baby is happy and healthy so far and i am not sure about vaccinating her anymore(exp. mmr vaccine.......very scary!).

I am going to discuss about this to my doctor during her 9th month visit.

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR UR THOUGHTS ON THIS!!!!!

btw, do they give MMR in india???( i think india is much safer in vaccinating children and i am even afraid to live here(usa) anymore. am i overreacting?)
PLEASE SHARE UR THOUGHTS!!!!!

The Medical Research Council team could find no evidence of autism associated with the triple vaccine.

The MMR controversy was first sparked after a small-scale study published in The Lancet in 1998 by Dr Andrew Wakefield suggested a link.

The new study, appearing in the same journal, follows numerous others disproving any such link.

No link

The Medical Research Council team looked at the vaccination records of 1,294 children diagnosed with autism or other conditions they termed pervasive development disorders (PDDs) between 1987 and 2001 in England and Wales.

PDDs are a range of conditions first seen in childhood that include abnormalities in language development, communication abilities and social interactions, and a rigid, repetitive pattern of behaviours and interests.

These children were compared with 4,469 children of the same sex and similar age who were registered with the same GP surgeries but did not have autism or PDDs.

this is very stange!!!in a country like US where Doctors can be really taken to the court vey easily. well here i would like to comment that i gave my baby MMR vaccine which they told that is very safe and even that the fever wont come. and if it comes then it will be after 5 days in rare. however my baby had a very high fever 15 days latter and also that he developed a rash on his body for 2-3 days it was not painful and the baby was normal..
m and my husband are of the thought that it is defeinatly due to vaccine.
well being immunologist, i would say that vaccines once developed , there are clinical trials which involves vaccinating human beings and looking for any hipersensitivity.so they are safe.
But it is also true that childern are burdened with vaccines and sometimes they are un-necessary,one should really think before!!
