Normal Delivery: Need advise about good gynecologist in Bangalore?

I am expecting a baby and looking for a good gynecologist.
Can anyone suggest a good gynec doctor in Bangalore in Whitefield or old airport road or indiranagar Area.

The doctor should be in a good nursing hospital, so that if there are any complications that hospital should have all the facilities.

I would like you all to avoid any consultation with dr sandhya who has a clinic opposite to cosmos mall. earlier dr padmashree was practising there. padmashree lied to her patients about her relocation to hyderabad and handing over the clinic to dr sandhya. dr sandhay knows nothing beyond letting you listen baby heart beats. My wife lost her pregnancy due to her ignorance. my wife had pain 12 days before her miscarriage and we visited dr sandhya. she ignored the pain as an infection. our baby was in late stage of pregnency and could have been saved. we also visited dr sandhya on the same day evening before the miscarriage but dr couldn' t find it and again ignored. later evening my wife was admitted to an emergency and despite many calls dr didn' t come to hospital untill morning. my wife cried whole night with severe pain and we still live with the pain of loosing our baby. not just that we also found that dr sandhya' s many other patients had miscarriage. dr sandhya is only good at giving to smily tips for 30 mins but she doesn' t know handling madical emergencies. she is learning medical by experiences many miscarriages. please avoid seeing dr sandhya if you wanna save your baby. please please save your baby... al replied. I think I will start consulting the same doctor, only challenge is the distance as I live in whitefield :(

Dr. Fatema Poonawala at Alfa Clinic in J.P. Nagar

I totally agree with al. Dr. Fatema Poonawala is an amazing doctor. Recently I delivered my baby in Alfa clinic. She was fantastic during my pregnancy. My baby was 10 days overdue and my case was not so positive for normal delivery but still I had it because of her effort. She induced labor and during that she was almost always there for me as she lives nearby to her clinic. I thank her for all her support and guidance during my whole pregnancy. I highly recommend her.

Dr.Fatema Poonawala

I am consulting Dr Fatima Poonawala and would like to know the Operation theater of her Clinic(Alpha Clinic). The Doctor is very patient and experienced but the OT is not very convincing to me.People who have gone inside can please tell me how well equipped is it and does it have all the equipment to face any last moment emergencies?

Dr.Fatima poonawala is not a bad dr.after all she has ensured the safety of ur child..feeling bad with what u ve undergone. My opinion about her is still the same and so of many others. you should have discussed with her after it was over..maybe u r right in calling her over confident..but she s still the best..Many patients have problems with many dr..like one my friend had problem with dr bina vasan.. she doesnt choose the proven or international brands of medications which are freely availalble for infertility.

We had been visting Dr Sandhya regularly and she gave personal attention to my wife´ s complicated case and handled all emergency calls even at night.

The docs who have big names in bangalore .. they don t attend well and MOST IMPORTANTLY at the time of delivery they may not be with the mother

But Dr Sandhya handled the situation well and was with my wife at the hospital and we were blessed with a baby boy.

I will always be thankful to Dr Sandhya

Dr. Fathima Poonawala (Gynecologist)

I agree 100% to Dr.Fathima´ s feedback on normal delivery cases. I´ m the kind of person who just can not bear any pain, and delivering my child natural way was just not my idea. I had moved to bangalore from delhi in middle of my pregnancy becoz of my husband´ s new work location happened to be bangalore. We were exploring all the hospitals and gynecolgists to gain the confidence, after visiting at many hospitals I happened to see Alpha Clinic on JP nagar 2nd Phase, while eating at taaza mithai shop, as this clinic is located oppsoite side of the taaza mithai and adjacently located to LIC office.
On my 1st very visit to her clinic and meeting her I was sure that she is the one who´ ll deliver my 1st child. She has that heavenly touch and ethical approach.
With all the support by her and her staff, I gained confidence to deliver natural way as my condition was positive for that.
She was always there for me as she lives nearby to her clinic. I thank her for all the support, love and guidance that made my son come to this world naturally and safely.
