Hi all:

I am in my 10th week and had very bad nausea. I developed acidity and reduced 3 Kgs too.

Finally y' day I went the doc too, looking at my weak condition, she has given me Doxinate to control vomitting. I took it only once and my God ! what a relief :).

Is anyone else taking such medicines ?. I had bad nausea last pregnancy too, but somehow managed without medicines, but this time it was uncontrollable.

Hi,am n my 5th month and is experiencing bad vomiting throughout the day even at this stage,lost around 4kgs in a month.I live n Kuwait, had tried out medicines like Primperan ,Nevidoxin and Motilium (suppository), but was of no use .Dr.advised to use Zofran but couldn' t get the same from any medical store n mumbai and now planning to try whether the same is available in Calcutta ,I had consulted another Dr.in India over phone and she asked to try out Doxinate.Whether there is any harm in using this medicine and am not too sure as to how many mg is required, if someone has used it , please help me with details Mommy replied. Don' t worry. I am having bad vomitting since 5th week and am into my 10th week now. My doctor (here in US) prescribed Unisom (half pill a day which contains doxinate). She told if it still gets worse I may try Phenegran and I have even taken Zofran when I felt dehydrated and went into Emergency room. Believe me Zofran gave me the best and instant relief from vomitting.

Kalpana, absolutely no need to worry...I am also 10 weeks pregnant and have had miserable nausea and vomiting since the 5th week...Couldn' t keep any food down so I was put on Diclectin, which is the same in the west as Doxinate is in India. I have been taking this medicine for over 4 weeks now and I believe its absolutely safe. Its just a combination of a B6 vitamins and an anti-allergic specially formulated for use in pregnancy. Women have been taking this medicine for over 40 years now without any known problems. So take it without any fear. Also its very common to lose weight in the first trimester so don' t give that undue importance. Your baby is really going to need those nutrients from second trimester onwards.

I have not used any medication. My nausea was bad from 6-9 weeks & has subsided after that.
