Due Date Club September 2004:tummy not showing

Name: chinisk Hi everybody,
I am new to this group and was very happy to find so many people sailing in the same boat.

Well my query is that I have completed 27 weeks. I am in my 3rd trimester, but my tummy is not big enough. My doctor thinks its fine, but when I look into the mirror it looks really small to be in the 3rd trimester. I am very worried. My next US will be after 35 weeks, so till then I will keep on worrying. Exactly how are we supposed to measure the height of the uterus. Is verything okay in my case. Please reply.

Hi Girls
same is the case with me and my husband keep on scolding me that i am not eating properly,that is why baby growth is not fine. and my doctor says nothing about it

Dear Parul,
Gaining weight depends on your own built, height/weight prior to conception.

Not gaining substantial weight does not mean anything is going to be wrong with baby development. I met many girls in hosptial while tour, they were of same gestation like mine (EDD July 3rd), and not that all showed big belly. I am sure they are all going to have healthybaby.
I know a lady who delivered normal weight babies, two pregnancies, only gained 10 and 12 pounds in each pregnancy. Amazing! But this happens. My best friend did not show her belly until 9th month, she is proud mother of a healthy son.
