I am 25 years old, employed and my parents have started looking out for a suitable bride. I have a dilemma regarding the hairstyle that I sport. A year back during summer just for a change and to beat the heat I asked the barber to cut my hair really short. He gave me a haircut such that sides and back there were no hair, very neatly reduced by machine. I felt odd after the haircut but after 2 / 3 days I started liking so much that once the hair grew to certain length I started getting that cut. Now that there is bride search for me, there is compulsion from well wishers that I should go back to normal haircut otherwise no gal would accept me. one suggestion is to grow my hair , find a bride and then tell her about it. My dilemma is to whether continue the way I am or should I accept what my well wishers say and go by their thoughts.. or should I grow my hair, once I find a bride, tell her about it and get it cut again...

Hi,
My brother Ravi does not have moustache. Deepak, when a girl like me loves to have machine cut how you assume that girls do like the same. I really enjoy rubbing the machined surface of Ravi. Infact, several of my teachers like my cut and looks. Please ensure that you are clean shaved, otherwise it looks odd.

Machine Cut is Better

Hi Deepak,
I am girl studying in my intermediate. Myself and my brother Ravi both spot machine cuts with sufficient hair at the top to comb the crop. Everybody loves the style. Machine cut is suitable for a boy with relatively smooth skin and he should be clean shaved. Are you having a smooth skin with less rough beard? If so continue your machine cut. Most of the girls like you. All the best.

thanks for the reply. well in my case, the barber reduces to bare minimum at the top , sides and back which I like - I hope in yours or brother´ s case it´ s not that short using machine... I do have moustache. how about your brother ?

Dear Deepak
There are many females (like myself) who like their men with a close machine cut. In fact I like my husband with a machine cut which is quite high up and very short on top.

I advise that you see the girls with the haircut you like. Of course, you must radiate confidence about yourself. If some girls put too much weight for the hairstyle of the groom they are anyway not worth it. If you do not exude confidence about yourself then you are also not worth much (sorry to be too blunt). Keeping grown out sides before marriage and telling her later will unnecessarily introduce elements of doubt and mistrust (' what other things you are hiding from me?' )which is avoidable.

Enjoy the machine cut and with patience you will find a bride who likes it.

´ I am not sure if you would have accepted had you seen your would-be in such a close cut style before the marriage´ - such statements about a person whom you have not met do not do for a good dialog on a discussion forum. How can you pass a judgement on what I would have done or not done? If most girls do not accept such hairstyles, that is their problem. I need not be put in the same bracket on a surmise.
For your information, if I had seen my would-be with a military cut before marriage I WOULD STILL HAVE ACCEPTED AND HAPPILY AT THAT. GOT IT?

thanks for the reply , though I haven´ t yet gone through your postings, I am not sure if you would have accepted had you seen your would-be in such a close cut style before the marriage i.e. during the first meeting. After marriage is something different. Anyway thanks much for your reply. the process for me has just started and if me being stubborn doesn´ t help, I have to grow my hair to a normal hairstyle. Hope some others in the forum will also share their views.

Mine is an arranged marriage.
My husband started getting such cut well after marriage, not when he came to see me.
My husband´ s haircut is similar to what you have described - cut close to skin at back and sides and very high in the back.

Few questions - Hope yours is an arranged marriage and may be after your marriage your husband started getting such haircut ? - or when he came to see you itself he was in that style ? I started going to gym a year back and started sweating lot , hence started this haircut where in it´ s cut close to the skin at the sides and very high in the back. I hope your husband´ s cut may not be like this but may be a little short one. I generally enjoy such haircuts sometimes at a street barbershop (hand machine) sometimes at a saloon (machine) - some of my friends think I am crazy ..
