Janani,
You say you refuse to shave your head with your son because yours is love marriage. I think ' love' means giving and not sticking to one' s ego. If you can' t part with your hair for a religious purpose to honour the wishes of the elders of your \" lover' s\" what other adjustments will you make to have family cohesion down the years?
I feel that once a girl enters a family as its daughter-in-law, she has to adjust most of her actions to suit the new family. Getting tonsured as per the wishes of the f-i-l or m-i-l is a very small adjustment.
But personally I feel 5 months is too small an age for a kid for tonsuring. It should be done in the 12th month at the earliest or preferably in the 25th month.
I also feel that you are throwing away a very good opportunity of enjoying a religious tonsure which will be ACCEPTABLE to most people unlike punk styles which few admire in their hearts.

Dear Jannani,
I read your mail at ' Haircare' .You can happly go for your headshave either at tirupati or any religious place with your son.I confirm you that you will enjoy your headshave like me.I also have feared when my husband told me to shave my head while we go for tour at tirupati on 21st May,2010.But when I did my headshave at Kalyankatta my entire heart was filled with joy.The barber who made me bald is a very good person & he did a wonderful job with a straight razor & half blade.Within just four to five minutes I was totally bald & I never forget the four-five minutes when he was shaving my head. Each stroke of his razor produced some sensation on me & I enjoyed a lot during the razor was running over my head.I was so happy that on fourth day after my headshave, I requested my husband to shave me again with his shaving kit & he did it immediately at the hotel room sameway I was being shaved at kalyankatta. So, don' t think much, go for a complete headshave at anywhere & you will definately enjoy the experience of your headshave. Please share your experience after shaving your head.If you want I can share with you my before & after headshave photo.
with love,
Bubla

Hello everyone,
I have medium volume hair but my hair type is very thin and silky. Due to which my hair doesn't hold curls for long hours. I have heard that texturizing spray helps to solve the above problem. Could someone please suggest the good texturizing spray for thin hair?... - Amulya Peru [View Message]
