Hi,

Thnx Archie ... as usual you were right ... the stinky darker urine was slight UTI ... the pus cells were slightly more ... going by your word and my intution i had just done a routine urine test before i went for my appt yesterday ... and anyway the doc has just asked me to drink lots more water for next 2-3 days and come back if i still have a prob... but looks like its is fine already.

BTW, she has asked me to do an NST on the babies (i'm expecting twins this time) for my next visit on 3rd jan. She told me it is like an ECG of the babies hearts ...

Any idea if this is done normally ... and why it is done ?

Hope your sons are doing fine .... which part of the world do you live in?

Love,
Viji

NST is where you will have a belt placed on abdomen underneath a fetal heart/contraction monitor. This will be left there and asked you to lie in chair for about 20-30 minutes. if they could get heart continuously for 10 minutes then it's done. This will suggest if baby(ies) are in distress and breathing pattern is alright. This is a non-invasive intervention to decide on how long to wait before choosing induction, or C-section.

Congrats to you!.I am from the Feb board due date is 8th Feb.I am also expecting twins! B/G second time.I already have a 6 &1/2yr.old boy.I am in my 33rd week now.I have every alternate week NST.It is a nonstress test just to monitor your babies movements and record their heartbeats
and also see if you have any contractions.Yes offcourse it is normal to do this test.Especially for as iam a GD they do it every alternate wks.Hope this helps.
