Hi mommies,
Hope everyone is fine. I had a tired weekend both physically and mentally. Friday I had doc apt and internal. Later that day I was feeling so down and tired but wanted to go to temple. Then I had surprise baby shower. My cousins and friends were successful in surprising me and more than that my h' band was also part of it but he managed it well.
I did have fun but at the same time, I was tired too. By the time I got ready for bed, it was almost 2am and I realized that I might be having contractions. My stomach (upper abdomin) was becoming very hard and slowly releasing in 15-20sec. So, I started timing for a while. But I was able to go to sleep. Then I woke up early around 6.30am with the same contractions. I called my mom and asked if they were real pains as I wasn' t getting back pain and also the pains were not that hard. But she said they might be if they continue like that for hours.
So, me and my h' band started packing bags for me and my son (as I have to send him to cousins place). But they continued until evening with 10min apart. I called my doc and he asked me all the related questions including how my 1st delivery was. As it was long, he asked me to stay at home until they are 5-7mins apart and stronger too. But surprisingly, they slowed down and stopped by night. I was able to sleep without any problem and nothing even yesterday. Kind of dissopinted and was also happy as my in-laws are coming this friday.
Today I spoke to nurse and she said probably the contractions were making me ready for labor. So, may be cervix is getting thinner or dialtion started. But she asked me to take it easy. She also said if I have contractions again (little stronger), to call her.
Hmmm, I think my body is getting ready. Probably some time this week or may be early next week, I might see my baby :)
Thought will let you guys know. Even though I am second time mom and had normal delivery (with contractions started at home), still wasn' t sure if these were real contractions. So ladies, when in doubt don' t hesitate to call your doctor.
Hope everything goes smooth and easy. Just relaxing and watching tv now.
