hi girls
today had my sonar and came to know that the baby is v small..the doc asked me to get admitted imm. till my delivery...I'm totally in helpless situation .still I've not got visa for my parents or inlaws to come here. This was something which I was not prepared for.The doc. was not so happy when I told that I'd arrange for my daughter and come to get admitted..she was v harsh in words and had me sign that the hospital is not responsible for the baby.....I'm in tears...and I do have another scan on saturday..Hope I hear something positive by then!!!
anyway sorry for this vent...hope you all girls best of luck for your delivery..maybe I'd catch u after my delivery..

vidya radhika replied. vidya... this seems like my case a few weeks back when my doc told me that he was not happy with the baby's growth....i was concerned just like u.. but dont worry.. if the doc has prescribed any protein drink have it twice or thrice with milk and have lot of dryfruits.. i am sure it will work as in my case. now the doc seems to be happy with my baby

Sad to hear about your case. I am just wondering how small is the baby that the doctor is so concerned. What was baby's wt. when they did your Ultrasound.
During my Ultrasoubd I was told by doctor that they are concerned of baby's wt. only if the wt. is below 10 percentile of avg. baby wt.
Anyhow doctors know what is good for you & baby. May be bed rest & special diet in hospital will make baby grow some more.I can understand your problem with your girl. Even I have a daughter and wouldn't know what to do if such situation arises. Without the lady of the house, whole house is upside down.
Anyhow , hope you will find some solution soon.
When would the delivery be???

Hope you'll be able to make arrangements for your daughter and get some rest soon, or even better, find out that your baby is really not that small.

One of my friends was told she was probably going to have a 5 pound baby and ended up with a seven pound one. So even doctors do miscalculate sometimes.

I read your message. Don't worry everything will turn out just fine. Try to follow Usha's advice and if you eat eggs then make a point of eating atleast 2 a day. Try drinking whole milk 3 glasses a day or full cream yogurt, regular cheese and things like that. I'm sure ur problem will be solved real soon.

Don't panic. If doc says, then get admitted in hospital. May be u r overstraining urself, that's why they have asked you to get admitted so that u will be in bed rest. I know it's difficult to manage with ur little girl. I don't know how it's there but generally in abroad, nobody needs to stay back in hospital as like in India. We will be able to manage ourselves. If any of your friends are there then they can take care of little one. I know it's difficult but did doc say how long u have to be in hospital? Keep cool and pray to god, everything will be alright. Meanwhile eat lot of dry fruits and badam. Keep putting them in your mouth every 15 mnts. I assure u baby will put weight. Once doc told me my baby is small and then I started eating these two and in next scan it had gained lot of weight. So do not worry. Take rest, eat dry fruits, badam and ofcourse atleast two three spoons of peanut butter daily. I will pray for you. My baby is in breach position now. Thursday I have scan, if it hasn't turned doctor will try to turn it, else will have to go for C Section. Anyway, u do take care and do not worry.
