my daughter is 9 months old and she doesnot like to eat anything except rice and mixed cereal.I do not know what i should do to make her to eat .she doesnot want to eat anything at all.i tried gerber paste of all varities available.she is losing her weight day by day.please help me .can anybody suggest me any food that i can make at home and feed her?thanks. This is the time when the child starts developing taste & can make out the difference in tastes. Try giving varieties to your baby in a day. Cook vegetables like Podwal, Beans, Carrot in the cooker. Beat this in the mixie along with Rice & Dal & feed her this. Try different combos of vegetables each day.

In additon to the above, you can give her Apple Cerelac. You can give her Banana Rich Powder (Add this to water, add little sugar & heat on low flame and keep stirring. This will get cooked in sometime & stop when it becomes a paste. Similar to the way you make Rava Upma). Try giving her mashed cooked apple. Banana rich & Cooked Apple will help your baby gain weight if given for a month or so but she needs to have this daily without fail & then you will see the results. You can give her mashed Safed Elaichi Kela also at intervals.

Jyothi. Divya replied. Did you try to add some salt to your home cooked dish..make sure your babies food is not very sour..babies hate sour food..
Boil any two vegies(sweet peas, carrot, potato, beans) and blend them in a blender..Add some salt, ghee and rice cereal to the same and feed her. She should like it.
Make her meal time interesting..don't be stressed.
