Ambedkar was one of the first Dalit (untouchables) to obtain a college education in India. As a child he went through many scarring experiences caused by the social inequality that prevailed in those times among the masses. Later, in 1913, when he went to America on a scholarship given by the Maharaja of Baroda, Sayajirao Gaikwad,He earned a law degree and doctorates for his study and research in law, economics and political science from Columbia University and the London School of Economics.He completed his doctorate from Columbia University in 1925, after submitting his thesis titled the National Dividend of India – A Historical and Analytical Study. He studied sociology, economics and politics at the Columbia University. He went on to present the thesis The Problem of the Rupee at the London University and was presented with the DSc degree.

Babasaheb campaigned against social discrimination. His fight against the caste discrimination that almost fragmented the nation was remarkable. He was against separate electoral system for the Untouchables and lower caste people. He also favored the concept of providing reservations for Dalits and other religious communities.He launched a newspaper called \" Mooknayaka\" He was instrumental in providing a spark for the transformation of hundreds of thousands of Dalits or untouchables

Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was the full name of B.R. Ambedkar. He was popularly known as Baba Saheb. He was born on 14 April 1891. He was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. He was multi-talented and wore many hats. He was born in a lower caste and had to face many hardships bcos of his caste. He fought against caste system and strived to bring equality.
