My cousin's kid was quite a violent child too. He would hit, bite, pull hair .. absolutely anything if he couldn't have his way. Quite a huge ego problem.

On the advice of a friend she started ignoring his tantrums. If he could scream, she would pretend he wasn't there. If he hit, she confined him to his room, all this without disturbing the routine of the rest of the family. It took him quite some time, but he realised, that no one was giving in. The rest of the family as going abt their works as usual, like watching tv, having dinner, all the time pretending that pleasing him wasn't important. He eventually learnt to tone down his demands.

what works on one kid, might not work for the second but the idea is that you should let them know that even though they are important, they can't always have their way. hope this helps!

good luck

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
