Hello Aarti,

I read your post about clotting factors sometime back & it meant nothing to me so obviously I did not post. My baby was full term still born 5 months ago today and I only went back for all the pathology results on thursday. I also have factor V Leidens but dont know much about it so I was hoping you could help me with some information. Thank you in advance for any & all help you can provide

How is your health now a days and how are kids doing?
All the best. I just wanted to say hello.

Hello Kate,

I read your post in the Waiting to Try board. I was horrified to learn about the cause of Ishani's passing. This is too much for anyone to handle. I wish i can find the appropriate words to console you.

I have been meaning to write ever since you asked about Factor V Leiden. Normally, people with proven deficiencies of any one clotting factor(there are about 4-5) are treated throughout their pregnancy with injections of heparin or a low molecular weight version of it called lovenox. I have personally corresponded with women who have had more than one pregnancy with heparin/lovenox. However, I can offer little help about how they would treat someone who might bleed during pregnancy. I am very sure that a perinatologist could offer the best suggestions.

There are three sources I can think of:
1) I suggest that you sign up with the Yahoo group titled \";heparin\";. It was formed to support ladies who use heparin/lovenox during pregnancy. Someone might have an answer for you. Here is the link

2) You coulg google for lovenox during pregnancy. I recall finding a lot of info when I was searching for protein S and lovenox.

3) (ht tp:) // hygeia(.)org / homepage (.) htm

This is a site dedicated exclusively to pregnancy and infant loss. They maintain a database of users along with the health condition which might have caused the loss. You can search through that and correspond with anyone who has similar circumstances. Hygeia has some wonderful, supportive ladies who have really helped me cope with my loss.

I hope this is useful. I pray that you find answers.

My best wishes, Aarti

But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]

Hey! I hope you are doing well. Miscarriages are a terrible thing that can happen to a family. It is like your dream of having a child and the next moment it is all gone. There are various reasons why miscarriages happen. But I do not think that miscarriages should affect the relationship. It is the responsibility of the husband to understand that no one is at fault. Hey Richa, hope you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about it.I know what you have gone through. Toughest period is when one is TTC.The worst part is the miscarriages and 3 of them makes it even more hard to cope with. I agree with your husband and would advice you to take a break also. Try to regain your health.Rushing into things wont solve them. Consult a specialist a... - katherine [View Message]
