Hai Archie,
I am rani from september board. I ahd earlier queried abt hepatitis B few months back and u said that i shud realxa s much as possible, track baby movements once i fel them and also watch my weight gain.
1.I am realxing as much as i can though i feel very tired even with little household work.
2.Have started feeling the baby movemnts from week 22 and they had been quite regular and at times very strong too. i can actaully see the movemts on my tummy.
3.I have put on lot of weight-almost 12 kilos in the apst 6 and hal months and tummy is looking quite big too, though the baby was weighing onlly 736 gms during the 25th week scan. Is this the concern u have mentioned in the earlier message Archie? please clarify. I waited long so that i can give you all the necessary feedback. Waiting for ur reply Archie.

Dear Rani,
Are you the one who wants to travel from Mumbai to Hydrabad?
OK, your updates look good except the weight part. Looks like you are eating generously sweets and fatty stuff.
Yes, you need some fats hereafter but stay in limits with sweets and also salt.
Movements will be stronger until week 31 or so and may reduce there after but not a huge concern.

If you are going to have a scan lets see how the baby is coping up. The weight of baby at 25 weeks was good to gestation.

I will be happy to know further updates.

Control salt and carbohydrates along with only eating minimal fats in diet. Include proteins and calcium though.

Rani,
yes you should get your gd test done around week 28.

go on walking, don't take this much rest would be problem for you in later stages of third trimester. When your OB says don't stress does not mean don't walk. Go ahead and walk at least 45 minutes a day.

I only hope you are not gaining weight other then tummy as it is difficult to shed some weight after delivery for many girls.

Yes, if you were regular exerciser before pregnancy and stopped now then you can gain little more weight.

Subject:  Updates and another query

Dear Archie,
Ya i am the one who wanted to travel from mumbai to hyderabad.
i Was so relieved seeing ur reply to thsi quesy. Ya even i felt the weight gain was too much. But to be frank archie, i am not eating sweets or sugar much. I drink milk without sugar and put as little oil and salt in my food too. I dont know if this weight gain is also due to no exercise at all.i am not walking at all other than that in office coz of doc's advice not to stress much, though she suggested walking.
The other query that i had is regarding gestation diabetes. My OB hasn't prescribed for the test till now. I donno if its coz of BP level being normal- 130/70 and no water retention/ swelling at all, though i feel very tired ever since my 4th month and urination has increased a lot for the past 4-5 days, donno if its coz of the weather. Do u also feel i need not get the gestation diabetes test done? Otherwise what would be symptoms of the diabetes at this stage?
Please let me know archie!
Rani
