Hi Vidya and my all other mommy friends


Vidya, thanks for ur msg, I am doing good. And yeah my parents actually got their visa y'day and they'll be here this saturday. I am finally relieved and happy. How abt u? Do u have anybody to help u arnd, I have heard second timers really need help in looking after the first one, How is ur first one taking ur pregnancy so far?

Yeah my edd is nearing, But looks like My doc will Induce me of labor in the week of jan26th, so I have just 2 more weeks to go, I am tensed to death now. Y'day I had an appnt with my doc, and she is leaving to India on a vacation on Jan31st, and She wants me to deliver b4 that, b'cos I have a low platelet problem, she doesn't want to transfer my case to a senior Dr., her substitute, as she understands my case better.
So mostly I am going to have this planned labor on 26th or 28th of jan.

I hope all the others r doing good and normal. keep the messages coming, i think this is time we really need a lot of mental support...

Its really good to hear that your parents are coming to stay with you and esp. before your delivery..with just 2 weeks time I can understand how u must be feeling..I hope u are done with your packing and ready ....well , on my side am still in a dilemma to bring anyone as there is war tension going on in my place ... but I do need help to take care of my gal during my delivery time and after that...so maybe within a week I might be applying for visa for my mom/mil...I really hope there will be no war & my edd is in the month end..
reg. the arrival of the baby, my little girl is really excited to see the baby!if I call her a baby, she tells me that she's a sister and a BIG Girl ...LOl!
oh dont worry abt. induction...You'll do great and everything is going to be fine...God will be by your side!
U'll be in my thoughts and prayers!!!

yes I too hope that there won't be any war...But seeing news daily gets me on my nerves...that's the talk everywhere nowadays...yuck..
I understand that my girl is going to face something very different from what she's imagining after the baby arrives and for the first few weeks she needs to get adjusted to the new environment....that's the main reason I wud want to bring someone to look after her..I wud apply for visa next week..thanks for your concern dear!
Hey Happy Pongal to You too ! I did eat a lot of pongal today ;-) ! what abt. u?!!!!
there is still 2 more weeks to go..so positively U'll be ready for induction by then ..I too have heard varying views abt. induction...just dont give heed to anything negative...God will be by your side!

Thanks for the msg. Don't worry at the war, I am sure it won't be anytime soon, The UN inspectors have asked for a year's time for the inspection in Iraq, and US can't get into war while theyr expectig, so Bush goes down the drain. I donno why he is similar to his dad, and wants to bring tension to the world.
You shud defiitely call ur parents, I am sure ur daughter go thro a very different phase with the baby's arrival, she'll need a lot of attention. I can relate to it b'cos i looked after my sister's first son , when she had her second baby. So take care and all the best.
Yeah i am going thro' mixed emotions, sometimes excited, sometimes terrified. But over all I am happy, the day is nearing,

BTW, have a happy pongal! do u guys celeberate pongal or Sankranti?

Glad to know that things R fine with U.... It looks like U R almost there at the finish line... :-)) So U will have a baby real soon... Wish U all the best.... I can understand how I feel.... Even am scared and terrified when I think abt the Big Day to come..... Lets hope and Pray that everything goes on Smoothly....
Glad to know that Ur parents will B arriving shortly... Thats a relief and also a we can expect a grear deal of Support from them......

Many thanks for the msg. yeah as IK told vidya its a real mixed feeling. I am a li'l worried abt induction too, b'cos I hear varying views...I just hope my cervix thins down in next 2 weeks, that'll make things simpler.
How r u doing? are u going to manage ur pregnancy alone? what happend to ur hospital registration and lamaze class?

do join those classes, I learnt so much from it.
