Hair Care:probably shaving my head

Name: pooja raechal

Hey i am pooja from Mumbai.I started trying different things to my hair from 17 yrs.Now i am 21 yrs old.Few months back i coloured my shoulder length hair with light greyish colour.its been long time but the colour is nor going. So i coloured it black again but my hair is so rough and unmanageable now.
So i decided to cut off all my hair either into a buzz cut or a headshave.I went to the parlour yesterday and asked for a headshave but within 5 minutes i lost courage and i stepped back. Can anyone say me how to overcome the fear.I surely want to cut off all my hair. Its not at all manageable

i think the best way is head shave . first u have to plan tirupathi and give ur hair to god. after ur head shaving share ur feelings and also photos

Happy that you got the cut you wanted. Hope you liked the boycut - how short did you get the cut at sides and back - Hope it was done using scissors only at parlour or machine was used ?

Hello Pooja,

Why do you think cutting off all your hair is the solution ? If you ask parlour people, they can guide you how to remove the color and/or apply hair serum , etc to make it more manageable. However, if you want to cutoff your hair, why don' t you do it gradually so that you don' t get the shock of loosing the hair at one stretch - instead do it in 3 sittings - who knows - you may change your mind after even one visit to parlour. But if you are determined to cut it off say for ex: buzzcut, you need to ask them to run clippers with attachment all over the head. The attachment size would determine how short you want it cut. It could be 3 inches or 2 inches or 1 inch. If you use 3 inch, the clipper will cut evenly all hair so that 3 inches of hair is left on the head. If you still are bold enough to go for a headshave, you can decide if it has to be razor or clipper shave. But don' t go for a headshave unless you know the consequence - it' s going to take longer time to get a decent length, for your age, people may not like you to get a headshave, etc. But it all depends on how you face the people. Just go sit in the chair, ask the parlour lady to do a boycut first - see if suits you and then gradually go to the next step.... But you can first see how by any means you can bring your current hair to manageable condition before deciding on anything.

Hello everyone,
I have medium volume hair but my hair type is very thin and silky. Due to which my hair doesn't hold curls for long hours. I have heard that texturizing spray helps to solve the above problem. Could someone please suggest the good texturizing spray for thin hair?... - Amulya Peru [View Message]
