Due Date Club April 2007:Vyom is Home

Name: KB Hi All,
My little baby boy Vyom came crying and kicking into this world on 26th March at around 8:00 am. His weight was 2.5 kgs instead of the expected below 2 kgs and was transfered to the normal nursery almost immediately. The doctor kept him under observation for about 5 days and other than a touch of infant jaundice he is fine. He is a little thin but as he is feeding well, he will hopefully put on weight fast. The doctor has said that since he is about 4 weeks early it is important to be careful for the next couple of weeks, so, no visitors and no one can touch him without disinfecting their hands. But he is an absolute bundle of joy and both his dad and I can just sit for hours watching him sleep, play, make faces and even give cute smiles.
BTW, the c-section was much less uncomfortable than I had ever imagined. My stitches are already off and my sugars and bp went to normal witin 24 hrs of delivery.
A BIG THANK-YOU to all of you for the best wishes and support that you have all given me in the past 7-8 months.
GOOD LUCK to everyone for their deliveries and hoping to hear good news from all of you in the coming month!

That' s great to hear from you!.You should thank god that you are not away from your baby.

This season is a RSV season.Babies who are born before 37 week(which is a full term) considered to be high risk during this season.As doctor said no visitors especially small kids/babies.Season ends in April.So you are kind of cool.Just a month to go!.During next season he will be big enough so you don' t have to worry.Enjoy your motherhood.
