Hi all..

First of all let me congragulate hopingfortejas and her sweet little angie. We both have the same EDD and iam yet to find out whether its blue or pink for me!!!

By the way last few days have not been easy for me.

Went for the usual monthly check up with my gynae. She tested the vag. discharge and it showed that i still have slight infection. Now iam on vag. suppositories and antibiotics. :(. Though they give only safe medicines, i feel very bad abt having to take antibiotics during this time.

My next appointment is on 22nd this month. Eagerly waiting to c my little one then.

Now the worst part is I developed itchy rashes on the sides & top of my belly and also on some parts of the thighs. My dr referred me to a Derma. He said its PUPPPS (sorry forgot the full form), a kind of itchy rashes that some ladies get during pregnancy. But usually it starts in the third trimester, though its not uncommon for it to show up in any other trimester either.

Though i have started taking medicines, its itching like anything and iam not even able to sleep in the night. My derma told that even if it goes away with the medicines now, it can come back any time:( . Delivery is the only complete solution. I dont know how am I going to bear this till then. :(:(...Even while typing this msg, iam itching all over my belly and now it seems to be spreading to my hands and legs too. boo..hoo....:(:(

I read Soni's msg regarding Rh factor incompatibility. Iam A+ & my hubby is A-. From what i have read, this combination doesn't pose any probs. It should be the other way around to be incompatible. isn't it? Plus is it an issue in the first pregnancy?

Oops sorry my msg became a bit too long.
Take care everybody. And plz do pray for me that my itching & rashes goes away soon. Its driving me crazy.

Thank you friends,
Naina

Hey Naina ,

Thanks for your wishes , so r u planning to find out if you are having a boy or girl ??

Sorry to hear abt ur problems, i had skin allergies early on in the pregnancy , but thankfully nothing after that .. i had read abt PUPPS when i was researching on this topic earlier and it did seem like it is a pretty common/harmless thing though i am sure the rashes will really irritate you :( ...

and abt RH compatibilty , since RH+ is more dominant than RH- , my doc told me that if the mom has Rh+ , then baby would e Rh+ , so no need to worry, you need to worry only if it is the other way around as u mentioned ...

so has your baby started kicking you ?? :) ... mine does seem to do something sometime ... :) i dont know if it is my iamginatio or if she is really kicking me ..!!

anyway ..take care and keep posting ..
-P

Sorry to hear about ur rashes. Dont know much abt it but just follow whatever ur dermatologist says. I dont know whether this will help but drink lot of fluids to keep ur skin hydrated.

Will pray for u, pls keep us updated after ur appointment.

Take Care,

Hi Pari,

Thank you for the msg my friend. My derma just gave me liquid paraffin for external application (for the rashes & itching i mean). He told not to use any over the counter medicines now since its the brain developing stage for our babies. He says its better to avoid medicines as far a possible.

Take care
Naina
