i don' t know i am feeling so embarrased and sad

my head was shaved on sunday.

on saturday i made final attempt to make amma change my mind but no luck,

when in the evening of saturday i came from colege like our previous ritual i brought coconut oil bottle lice comb and normal comb and sat in front of amma for lice combibg but amma told me that no need to lice comb u today as your head is going to be tonsured tomorrow if you want you cakeep your hair open.

i started crying but amma pulled my hair and said that is the only way your lice willgo and you can concentrate on studies.

on sunday amma washed my hair and dried it and told me to keep it open and be ready as the barber was going to come at 11.00am.,

i went inside the room and cried silently .
at 111.15 am the barber came and in the verrandah amma kept small stool for me to sit ,

amma called me but i could not gather the courage to go out , this made amma angry and she caminside and dragged me outside and pushed me to sit on the stool i sat down and saw thab t the barber was sharpening the razor he asked amma to get a water in amug to water my hair ,tears were coming and i started crying but amma broght water and the next moment the barber pulled my head down and started watering my hair ,he was very rogugh and crude and and rotating my head in all directions ,then he made two partions of my hair and tied in two loose buns.

he then bended my head down and started the headshave i felt the razor scarping on my head and i sa hair falling down , iwas dressed in night gown ,in few mts he finished half my half side , he would pull my head in the direction he wanted very roughly and was shaving very crudely and sometimes the it hurt my scalp in next 5 mts he tonsured my whole head and asked amma whether it was smooth enough and amma came forward and moved her hand on my head and told him to shave once more and this tim it really hurt me but he used to force fully catch my head while shaving that i could not move .

after tonsure i was shocked when amma asked him how many timeds in a month it is required for him to come to keep my head bald and said no no amma but amma gave i slap to me told me to shut up , he tolamma that once in ten days he woul come to shave my head.

i am devastated ,amma makes me oil my ald pate with coconut oil so that in future hair would gow nice . Sowmiya replied. Hi Vishaka,

My mother also forcing me to shave my head due to dandruff. shez is counselling me for past 2 months.and this week is my last chance to say yes to her. otherwise she will forced me to go for gundu.i said ok to her, this sunday i ll do my head shave. i pleased her, my parents strictly said me to do headshave. i have younger sister also. they didnt tel her to do, so shez teasing me now itself.. am very nervous.. Reading your story I am also embarrased & sad.Still you are shaving your head every 11th day?I also shaved at Tirupati but I have enjoyed.My barbers both are very nice who shaved me at Tirupati & who cuts my hair now at barbershop.Now what is the length of your hair?Still it is clean shaved?Whether Amma is has long hair or shaving with you? I suggest one headshave is enough to get rid of lice problem. take care to keep your scalp clean. Anitha replied. you could have gone for a stylish bob instead of a headshave. atleast now grow your hair and go for a bob cut. I remember my childhood days when barbers used to come to home to give elders haircut, etc. My brother would be at the mercy of the barber , even if he wanted to grow the hair, there would be no option, the barber with his tools would reduce his hair such that his skin would be visible and every summer it would be a headshave...
