hi,

i am in 12th std science and for last 2 years i am continuesly having head lice so much so that i am not able to concentrate on my studies , i have waist length thick curly hair and my amma is worried and frustrated about my lice is saying she will tonsure my head ang till exam will keep me bald ,

please help Malini replied. Did you decide on what you are planning to do ? Why do you want to go for a headshave ? Rather you can go for a stylish bobcut. I don' t know the name of the cut but there is one where at the back they cut super short near the nape. You can see if that cut suits you and decide Kalpana replied. Dear Vishakha,

1st try some shampoo or medicines. Don' t go for head shaving. I had the same problem but medicines worked out well.

If it doesn' t help, then you may get your head shaved in a parlor. It wont take more than 15 minutes. As I had curly hairs, my mom has shaved my hairs twice. Now I have thick straight hairs.

Nandakumar replied. I am in college 1st year now and as you say to avoid distraction from my studies because of hairstyles etc, I got only a very short haircut by machine during my 12th. There will no hairs at the sides and back i.e. cut close to the skin and very less hair at the top. I focussed only on studies. The difference is that I am a guy and was able to adjust to the comments. For you, you better consult a dermatologist or a reputed parlour - they may suggest shampoos, medicines , etc. pooja reddy replied. I had the same problem that you have now when i was in my engineering 2nd year.Your mom is absolutely correct about her decision.you go for a head shave and i assure you that you will feel a lot much better.When i shaved my head i felt on the top of the world.It feels great.Just dont think of society ,college and all.Just shave it as soon as possible because now only you have the courage.Again you may feel tensed
