Had my 19th week U/S today.It was of a longer duration than the first one.My husband and son came along though they were called after the technician was done with taking the measurements.It felt great to see the baby.Saw the spine, heart,legs,hands and the skull very clearly.I did request to know the sex of the baby and the technician said she would try to determine that and write it in the report.That' s what they did the first time too.I will check with my doctor when I meet her next month.

All in all,it was a great experience.

Just wanted to share this.

hi sandhya,
good to know abt ur ultrasound :) must' ve been a great feeling for u..n even for ur son n hubby. what did ur son say? was he excited? did u get some pics? n what was ur lil baby doing? moving around or resting or sucking its thumb?

thanks for sharing ur exp..italways feels so nice to read the ultrasound experiences..

Hello sandhya,
Felt very nice to read ur ultrasound experience...ur hubby n vedant wud have had enjoyed seeing the baby..Btw why didnt the technician let them in?
was the baby moving around rapidly?did the technician make u listen to its heartbeat?
So u 2 have decided to know the sex of the baby?Kool..This way u can start preparing for the nursery n shorlist on names...Out-here we r tempted 2 know,but anyways we cant.In a way its gud...for us its gona be a major surprise....

Hello Meghnah

My son,like all toddlers,saw the pictures for a few minutes and then wanted to get down and run out to play with everyone in the waiting area.I am glad that the technician called them towards the end as he wouldn´ t have stayed in for a long time.We listened to the heartbeat too.On the machine, it really sounds loud.I got pictures,especially one with the feet showing.

one of us are going for ultrasound one by one. it is really a nice experience to see our baby on screen. did ur baby moving too much? does ur son know that he is going to get a company to play with him?

Ya, it was a great experience.My son knows that he is going to get a sibling.We talk about the impending arrival almost every day.The baby was relatively quiet.Let the technician take the measurements.
