I am a regualar visitor of this board.I just read your message.Hope u delivered your baby by this time and both of you are doing fine.


I just saw that u were mentioning abt NICU.My baby was in NICU for 12 days.I completely agree that NICU days are miserable.Leaving a baby in the hospital is pretty tough!.

I was feeling very guilty when my baby was in NICU.I had to deliver my baby becoz of preclampsia(high blood pressure n protein in urine).I cannot imagine those days.I didn' t see my baby for 1.5 days after my C-section.

Now he is a happy 3 month old baby.

All i wanted to say is one thing,Please don' t ever feel guilty abt anything.NICU is the best for all premies and low birth weight babies.They will take care of your baby very well.Just pray god for your strength.Ask your husband to be with you.I was totally depressed when my son was in NICU.I used to cry almost every day.My husband was by myside all the time.

Since you cannot stay in NICU,rent a breast pump from the hospital and keep pumping for 8 times a day and give it to your baby.Mothers milk makes a lot of difference in premies n low birth babies.Also Nicu doctors may recommend ENFAMIL Enfacare formula-22 cal for your baby.It helps them to put on weight.
