Take a multivitamin with 400 micrograms (mcg) of folic acid every day .Folic acid plays an important role.I know my friends had so much problem with prenatal vitamin that doc. asked her to take this with a good diet.
Eat healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables, grains, and calcium - rich foods.
Its amazing that they don't give prenatal but since they don't then you should get this multiviatamin from the drug store they won't harm consult your doc. back home if you can .
And about your second ? do you and your husband have different blood group with -ve and +ve .IF yes then they give you this short for Rh.
Find out in india why they had to give you ? and ask your doc. since it seems the doc. in swiss practise diff. but no harm in asking any doubts you have they sure must have done blood work to find out Rh factor keep asking lot of ? sometime you have to drop lot of ? then something comes out of their mouth really .
take care
and relax

Hi Siha,

Thats very strange that your doc said not to take multivitamins... And i do agree with Soni. There is no harm in taking a multivitamin, even if you doc told you not to. It will be good for you and the baby. So do you know if its a boy or girl??

My EDD is almost same as yours... 16th Dec 2006

Take Care

Hi Siha,

Well i'm in us and here they give you prenatal multivitamins. You may wanna take some apart from your calcium supplement. But if you think you are having a complete balanced, healthy nutritious food, then you may skip it. You may wanna ask your doc about them.

take care
poochy
