Had a query. These days my baby kicks have reduced(may be because of the size). I do feel the movements daily, more in the night. Sometimes the movements do hurt me. But is it common that baby kicks reduce as we advance into third trimester?

Don' t worry if you can' t feel your baby movements for couple of hrs. Its ok, baby might be resting too. Even if the movements are not strong, thats considered ok as long as you feel it. Just make sure you feel baby for every couple of hrs. If you feel that its been a while and baby didn' t move, there are some things that you can do, usually works:
1. Drink somthing really cold or hot and lay down on your left side.
2. Eat something sweet
3. Sit down or lay down and just talk to your baby by placing your hand on your tummy

When I was pregnant with my son, my h' bands voice used to work like a charm. Whenever he spoke, baby used to move :)
Its just they are getting big and our tummy is not big enough for them to move freely. Have fun.

hope u r dng well......i had d same problem yesterday n did not feel d baby kicks at all for more thn 18 hours...i called my doctor and went for baby monitoring thankfully everything was fine . They checked d heartbeat of the baby n checked if i was having any contractions. he said that everything is fine and also said that it can be coz of growing size and at times it may happen if the mother is not eating well.So u do not need to worry just relax n eat well n be happy.
all the best mamta replied. Perky you would not believe it but i have been going crazy over the same thing for the past 2 days. i was just about to post the query when i saw your post. For the last 2 days i havent felt strong consistent kicks like before. they are intermittent and very feeble. They used to be painful. i checked online and increasing size maybe one of the reasons, but i am very worried. I just think about it the whole day. I was wondering wether i shud call my doctor.

I am hoping since two of us are experiencing the same thing it shud be normal:)

Can anyone shed some light on it ?
