Hi!
Was wondering how did you take the appt for your parents. Did you use the old TTSvisas or the new one. If you have taken through the old one can you tell me wht and how you need to handle the visa fees (DD earlier). Kindly let me know. Thank you.

We booked the appointment before Oct 3rd so it would come out to Old TTS visas (ie)when they go for the appointment they need to pay the visa fee (DD)and once they get the visa they need to pay extra some 2000Rs.

Earlier when i booked i to got for Feb only,But we need to keep on checking the websites for earlier dates and one fine day they opened the dates for Oct and Nov,So we booked for Oct 27.

Hope this helps

Hi sonu,
I booked my parent's appointment for US visa thtrough ttsvisas but got it for feb 7th (my EDD is 13th Feb) so was interested in getting an earlier date. I gave the VFS,TTS & Embassy people few mails and they said i have to cancel old appointment and get new one,we deposited the fee at HDFC bank and got receipts . When i tried to get new appointment for Nov, VFS site didn't work so i called thenm and they said i might have to cancel old appointment for that passport no.
Now when i tried to cancel old appointment via ttsvisas then.....at i surprise i was able to modify the old appointment and get an earlier date which i did. I was concerned if my parents will have to deposit the fee gain as HDFC receipt wasn't used for making appointment but today itself i came to know that they will have to pay TTS service charge but visa fee receipt from HDFC is valid and considered. Its a big releive now.
Go to immihelp dot com- it holds alot of information and will answer all ur questions.

Good luck.
Sona.
