Normal Delivery:Good doctor in Hyderabad

Name: Anu Hello,
I' m 4th month pregnant and stay near Miyapur. I' m looking for a good doctor who prefers normal delivery. I' m scared of C-section. Can anyone pls advice me good doctors with good experience in and around Miyapur/ Kukatpally in Hyderabad? Also, am looking for a hospital with good equipment & facilities which helps during my pregnancy.

Hi Anu,

With regards to distance, yes it' s slightly further. However, if you find a good doctor/hospital that' s half the battle won. I know of parents who travel more than an hour to get to their preferred obstetrician. Remember that even the shortest labor will last atleast 2 to 2&1/2 hours from start to finish - ample time to get to Jubilee Hills/Kalyan Nagar from Miyapur.

I live between Kukatpally and Miyapur, and my commute to Jubilee hills usually takes 25 minutes, to Kalyan Nagar 35 minutes.

I would still recommend J.J. Hospital, simply because of all the good care, labor support, antenatal classes, and post-partum support for your care as well as newborn care/breastfeeding support etc. that they offer.

Your concerns about C-section

Hi Anu,

There are some good hospitals and doctors who believe in Normal delivery. Dr. Jayanthi Reddy at J.J. Hospital is one of them.

Also, there are good childbirth education classes that are being taught at Pacific Medical Center, Jubilee Hills, and at J.J. Hospital, Kalyan Nagar. In fact, at Pacific Medical Center, Early Pregnancy classes are being conducted regularly. You could contact them for more details regarding registration. These classes will not only provide you with accurate answers to most of your concerns, but will also provide you with techniques/exercise/positions to prepare you and help you deal better with your labor, which enables natural childbirth.

Thanks Vijaya & Rajitha for your suggestions. But am concerned if Jubilee Hills/ Kalyan Nagar is a good option with regard to the distance to my place (Miyapur).. :(
