Due Date Club April 2007:my 36th week ultrascan report details
2007-03-19
Name: saradha

hi all

On this Saturday I went for an ultrasound. I was on my 37th week – i.e., 36 weeks 3 days.

Obstetric Scan:
LMP: 6th July 2006
EGA: 36+ weeks

The study shows a single fetus in cephalic presentation.

The BPD measures 9 cms (36+ weeks)
The femoral length measures 7 cms (36 weeks)
The abdominal circumference measures 33 cms (37 weeks)
Fetal heart pulsations and fetal movements are normal.
No detectable congenital abnormality is present.

The Placenta is fundal and posterior in location and shows normal echoes.
The umbilical cord shows three vessels.
The liquor volume is normal.
Amniotic fluid index is 14.

Estimated fetal weight is 3 kg +/- 450 gms at present.

IMPRESSION:
Single fetus of 36+ wks in cephalic presentation.

The main point I got clarified is that the cord is not around baby’s neck. I was very much relieved. However the head has not yet engaged it seems.

thanx for all ur wishes. wish u all a happy motherhood.

cheers
saradha
