This morning my hussband and 5 year old son went to a barbershop for an haircut and came back with a smooth shaved head.

My hubby says my son suddenly said he wanted to shave his head and looking at my son getting his head shaved my hubby also felt to get his head shaved.

well, it can be seen in two ways. One is the urge and the other one could be peer influence/fantasy , etc. Kids generally believe what they see and for his age of 5 yrs, he could have seen something strange in that look and could have asked for it. As for men, generally it finally matters as to what would others say if I get that look, 99% they don' t do what they want to do for ex: a very short haircut. Sometimes, out of interest they do take the plunge and do it for themselves. I could relate to one such incident. In summer, though I wanted to get a short haircut I never did so. During one of the summers, I was waiting for my haircut in the barbershop. Before my turn, a college grad stepped in and asked for a close haircut such that no hair is visible on sides and back as he wanted to be cool for the summer. The barber gave him the cut he wanted. Next I stepped in, I had the urge to get a short haircut but as usual resisted. The barber caped me and started cutting my hair, I didn' t even tell him how it should be cut. He had just bent my head and started cutting, since I didn' t say anything, may be he assumed that I too wanted short haircut. He was running the comb and scissors at the back several times, every such pass was giving me great relief from the heat. He reduced it to half an inch and came to sides and started repeating the same. I didn' t say anything , he reduced the sides also that short and top was also considerably reduced. When I thought everything was over and he is just going to shape the sides and back, he took the machine, without any attachment ran it at the sides and back. I didn' t complain and finally when I stepped out of the chair , I was having very little hair on the top and no hair at the sides and back. This is something that I never wanted but fantazised myself and eventually happened :-) Rakesh replied. You are right, Mugda. Most men and some women have the urge to get their heads shaved since it is such a wonderful feeling to get shaved. However, few women have the courage to admit that they have this feeling. Even among men, religious restrictions and a thought about ' what others may think' restrain many of them from going ahead with a head shave.
I suggest that you encourage them to get their heads shaved once a year since you find them very cute that way. They will also feel happy about it. Sudhir replied.
