Now am facing another problem.Rashes on his face.These rashes are more like measles but i confirmed it not measles he doesn;t have fever also.Doc gave me rahsfree cream but its not working please help me out if possible.HE has rashes on bottom also but the above mentioned cream worked there. sweety replied. understandin the measles rashes is imp because i cannt view the rashes your baby has, and so, lets us for the time being talk about measles and diff types of rashes that are like measles.
like you said he didnt have ne fever,,,but did he show the following -
The measles rash starts as spots, which then begin to blend together. The rash begins around the ears and on the forehead at the hairline. Over three days, it spreads sequentially to cover the face, neck, trunk, arms, buttocks, and legs. Over this same three-day period, the Koplik spots disappear and the fever begins to fall. the presence of C's = cough, conjuctivitis,coryza(red eyes,very runny nose,cough) and the progression of rash...
does he have ne of these, or not !
if not, they arent measles.be rest assured.

or what does the spots look like ?
The rash is pink and flat. The spots are very small, giving the rash a fine appearance. It is similar to the measles rash but less extensive and fades more quickly in some parts of body.
also, other than that,he could be having ne kind of allegic rashes that are often caused by ne medicines that he might have taken recently, ne antibiotic or penicillin..These rashes consist of small raised pin-head reddish eruptions and flat red patches on the limbs and trunk resembling measles. The rash is often itchy so you will find your baby trying to touch it,scratch it, if at all he is having these. The rash usually appears several days after ingestion of the drug.several days could be 15days or sometimes 1month !
the creme that worked on bottom could be because often the rash that is on bottom could be just a severe diaper rash or ordinary diaper rash, though they might look like the same on face of baby..
or else try the cream for couple more days,may be the rashed on faces are severe than the ones in bottom resulting in longer time for recovery & required close observation.how long you have been trying the creme for rashes on both face and bottom ???
rashes like measles could also be the sign of body heat or prickly heat. its same reddish and little spots..wash his face often, with cool water. after washing it, leave it for a while and then apply the creme..let the skin brethe fresh air.
if your baby is above 7-8months, add an extra feed of yogurt.if its prickly heat, the rashes will vanish in 2-3 days.
if you are bf, then reduce the hot foods like garlic,ginger,chillies,or any such hot natured foods.

also, check on what you have introduced lately, sometimes babies reactions are seen on longer duration than other babies,,what is reaction time ? does he shw uneasiness after a day or 3 days or a week or 10days after new food was started...
clean your carpet, daily, if your baby is crawling on it. make sure you wash their clothes with mild detergent or with less amt of detergent rather than as directed per load. any contact with any kind of toxic substances or cleaners or household chemicals could produce rashes,,may be he might have touched them once,,,check on that.

cut his nails as and when they grow, babies above 4months are good in scracthing further making an oridinary rash turn into a severe rash ! and a severe rash might result in shape of any rash, in your case may be its measles like.

being summer, i would assume its summer as well at your country or state as well, so keep chnging his clothes every 4-5hours,,
wherever his hands touches other than his toys, wash your baby hands often, and apply a mild moisteriser..face is the most sensitive part and a crawling baby or rolling baby often uses hands as a medium to touch,feel everything and then the first thing he does, is take his hands to either tummy or face !
sanitise your baby toys everytime they fall on carpet or ground,,with a good baby safe sanitizer, in US, its clorox anywhere hard surface sanitiser & there are couple other brands in toyrus.
other than that, i dnt see nething that might have caused rash !
for cure, this being a virtual media, its difficult to say what creme would be best, its best that is prescribed by your dr, as he has actually seen it, with the enlarged mirror.
so wait a couple more days,and tell your dr that its not working ! he might want to try someother creme or if he doubts, he might ask for blood test, which is very rare..
