Hi all,

Last friday I had my doctor appointment...I was 14w 2d on that day..
First they did an ultrasound..this time it was done on the abdomen...
I think this time they were trying to measure baby' s growth...they measured some BPD and FL...
They tried to make a 3D scan image..but they baby was moving a lot..so they could not
do it..

It was amazing to see baby' s spine and little hands...they were so clear...
finally it was looking a bit like human...
This time they did not make me hear the heart beat...they just showed me that heart is beating...
As I told..my doctor was mainly looking for baby' s skull growth and spine formation...
Donno if she was convinced fully or not...she asked me to come again after two weeks...

But my husband and I were happy to see baby' s movements and its little hands and spine :-)

Throughout the weekend I was in total amazement...its really surprising that such things are happening in our body
and we dont feel anything....:) I think I am becoming too philosophical....but thats the state of my mind after seeing
the baby :)

hmm moving baby,thats gud.Its showing that its very active.Well mine was very fascinated by its fingers,it cudnt let off its fingers.Anyways lets cee next ultrasound wus in store for us?For u next ultrasound is major one,U' ll cum 2 know the sex of the baby...U wud be much more excited abt this...n 4m now u can decide on babys name.Kool..

Hmm flutters,well u' ll know its oon.I cant say for sure,mine is baby flutter or not,but definately theresz sum movement in there:-)

hmm This week,my hunger died this cud be coz of my 2 iron tablets(startin 4m this week).Donno for sure.I' m not hungry now as before.But these days I' m extremely sleepy..I try sleeping on left side,n immediately get beautiful sleep filled with lotta dreams:-)

hey fikar not abt ur weight gain.Ira is rite,after 14th week only most ppl gain
weight..Mine coz I was slightly underweight I gained 8-9 kgs...anways mine is an exception:-)

My tummy is slightly showing,ppl think its the fat in the tummy.Anyways just 2
weeks,n my real tummy will be seen:-)Just waiting for that:-)

It was nice reading about your ultrasound experience.It is always thrilling because you actually get to see your baby.It is so true that so much is going on in our bodies and we don' t feel it at all. Our day continues like all other days.

I found out the sex of my first child and will probably do so in my next scan (if the baby co-operates).I deeply feel that it is a boy this time too.Will see if my gut feeling is correct.

what was the baby doing?was the baby moving rigourously?

So u decided 2 know the sex of the baby.Okies..I can understand ira,well its tuff to resist the big scan,n to know the sex of the baby.But In India we r forced to do that.Anyways gottu select both boys n gals name.For u,things wud be lil easier:-)U can shop accordingly..

so we both r in our 14th week,so may be evn ur next appointment for ultrasound wud be in 18th week rite?for me its in the 18th week.Well during that scan,theyre gona see the body parts r properly or not..well thats going 2 be my big scan...

Congrats!!!that must have been great!i can completely understand how you felt... it can be an emotional moment for the parents.. don' t you think so?
and i think this is the first time you can see a more human form of your baby...

the first time i saw my baby atfter the first trimester.. i could' nt believe that it was inside me.... this small... perfect life...

and believe me... we are all going to have such moments throughout our pregnancy.... i have my second trimester scan on the 17th apr .... lets see what turns up :-)

right now.. enjoy the moment...
