Hi Archie and all,

blood pressure was slightly on higher side 130/90.i asked her about epidural she said it is my decision and have to answer her when i go to meet her next wk.

my question is is it worth to take epidural as i had not taken during my 1st delivery.she said there is special anthesthtis doc.for this she said in beginning it will pain but then pain less labour.and also said if my pressure increases she will have to induced labour.can somebody put light on all these pts.thnks,
neena.

Hello,

I can understand the concern you have as to whether to opt for an epidural or not. Since you have already delivered a baby without it, why can' t you try this time too? Else what most women do is try to bear the pain as much as possible and then if they dont progress or cant bear the pain anymore, they opt for the epidural. I have no idea about how epidural and BP would go.....I know that your BP will be monitored throughout the process but best is your doctor who can judge whether you are a suitable candidate for an epidural.
Regards,
AVB.
