I agree with both of you. We are neglecting the importance of freedom. Also we have forgotten what our great freedom fighters did for us when we were under the rule of British. And 26th January is the day when we got our real identity as democratic state. Thanks to great Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

I agree with you Kundan. Patriotism is decreasing. However, as parents we should make sure that we try to instill patriotism by celebrating our national festivals as well like our other festivals. We should not take it for granted and observe it just like a weekend. We should encourage our kids to get up early in the morning and attended flag hoisting ceremony along with them.

Nobody takes this day seriously. Everybody go out for a picnic on this day. Now a days the Republic Day celebration is only limited to New Delhi where our President hoist the flag that is it. Now that the Republic Day has come on Saturday, people will enjoy 2 day picnic and go back to work on Monday. Patriotism is decreasing day by dy.
