Hetal replied. this is very normal with kids,,esp if they are given everything from day 1...
instead of taking things from his hands, try giving him some other thing that is his fav..he will take it and then get diverted to his fav things and then slowly put that thing out of his sight.if he comes to know, give him that thing, again, do the same thing...
other than that whenever he gets angry or shouts, take him out of sight of people/public...when it comes to kids, they love the audience ! and behave more wild when they see people looking at them !!! take him to rest room when in public,,show him the mirror..they often dont like themselves seeing crying :))..i often tell my daughter when she acts wild,,c how u look when you cry !!! she is just 1year,and doesnt understand what i say,,but when i show her face pointing her finger,,she stops crying or being fussy,,and will start to clap ! kids likes to see happy things !
if its at home, hold him, talk to him,,even though he might not understand everything u said,,keep talking,,the tone of your voice will make him soothe ! talk about his fav toys,,show that to him,,show him some pictures,,take him out a while,,a ride or so..but dont lose your patience,,no matter how wild they go,,at a point they will leave their screaming & shouting,,,,because they dont have much strenth to fight with an adults patience and energy..do they ?
and often kids behave the same way again and again to see our responses,,if our responses are NO, they want to do it again,,instead of that, try saying,,how about this !and show others things,,,alsonever get panicked,,be very calm..they see your expressions and often makes them excited to continue or go worst..be very calm at expressions, eye contact, give smiles,,it works,,you get angry, frustrated, show your helplessness and your baby will just do the same !! thats all what i observed with my daughter...i know the difference between 21 month and 12 month is huge, but when it comes to demanding kids,,the age doesnt matter ! they are all same.
although the kids are different in all things, and we cant compare them,,just to get you some ideas i shared couple lines...c if it helps...
so keep trying,,for babies there are no basic fundas to apply,,we just need to keep trying !
