I happen to find this group and I am new to this forum. I see some posts on haircuts , hairtips, etc.

Has any girl has got haircut or headshave in a barbershop ? Don' t ask me why I am asking this strange question. I am unable to tell the same.

But is it common that a girl also gets haircut in a barbershop ? not any fancy styles but a shorter haircut or even a headshave....

If so, can you please share the instances

Hey Rani, haven' t ever had an opportunity to get my haircut in a barbershop but that' s the topmost thing on my chart to do as soon as possible. It might sound strange but I am really crazy to go for a short haircut or a headshave even alongwith my boyfriend in a barbershop :) It' s not very common for girls to cut their hair in a barber shop though.. but have seen some girls do that.. Do share your experience with me.. The first time I told my boyfreind about this wish, he was perfectly fine with it... If I got the chance someday, will go in for head massage too. Cheers!

Hi,

It is surprising to hear that you want it cut at a barbershop. For affordability purpose, I have heard that in not so major cities, it happens. But nowadays parlour are common even in remote villages. I am not good in advising any style. There are lot of sites that tells you about it. Keep posted after you get your cut at barbershop and the experiences.

Hey Swathi, one always has the option of dropping in at a parlour, but then it´ s just that I wish to visit barbershop someday and get my hair done...Besides, have seen girls (not friends) getting their haircut from a barber.. I was able to get a glimpse because the barber shop had no door. I have more than shoulder length hair and I wish to wear it in bob or cute boy cut. Please suggest what kind of haircut would do for my oval face...features really sharp! Thanks..

what kind of short haircut are you interested to get ? when you say you have seen some girls do that, your friends got it ? why not in parlour ? how lengthy is your hair now and how short you want to go ? you can get it done in parlour also, right ?

NO its not common for a grown lady/girl to have any kind of hair cut at barber shop...... there are so many beauty parlors who do short hair cuts on ladies, kids,girls.......... so its very strange to get it done at barber shop......... i have got short cuts done at beauty parlor
