Hi,
I went to the doctor visit today. I am 28 weeks pregnant and my belly size is measuring only 25cm. I have been asked to do an ultrasound. I am also not gaining much weight. i almost lost 10 pounds due to nausea and vomiting and only a month ago started to gain a bit of weight. I am really worried. It would be great if anyone of you could share your experiences in regard to this. I stay in the US.

i am also in the same problem my is not popping but i gained 15.5lbs & i am in 26weeks2days now,my doc did suggest ensure but i am taking that, i dont know is it ok or not.

Hi siri...

I am right now in my 33rd week...i had an ultrasound done in my 31st week to see whether the baby was growing well...the baby was doing fine...but still i am measuring small for the week....i think as long as the size keeps increasing and the gap is the same, not to worry.....its nice to hear that u have gained 16 lbs...i dont think u have to worry...i havent gained even that much wt...my doc says gaining a total of 18 pounds is enough....so if ur measuring small just get an ultrasound done to ensure ur baby´ s growth...

hi,
todya only i met one girl who gained just 5 kgs in total n delivered a baby boy that too a month before time of 3 kgs ,so i guess weight gain is not that imp if the baby' s growth is ok.so dont worry the more u worry it will effect the baby.
take care n have a rich protien diet

Hi friend,
I also had the weight gain problem.
After taking protein shake , bananna i started gaining weight. Protien shake available in walmart are ensure brand and Boost take them twice daily .
Surely u will gain weight in one month.

i haven' t done it but i heard about it. it is similar to ultrasound but much more clear. u will actully see the baby than just a figure. one of my friend did it. there is a fee for it.
they can even show u the gender very clearly than ultrasound. it is done around 20week.
